Final Project Proposal

1.  My final project will be about the excessive drug use in our culture today.  People are dying every single day due to drugs. 2.  I plan to make a video displaying the different types of drugs used in our culture today to bring awareness to the topic. 3.  I will use pictures and videos to display my topic.  I believe that the graphic video will bring more attention to this topic that is causing outrage in our communities. 4. The major themes that my video will display are drug use and addiction. 5.  There will be no specific location of my work.  There will be many clips and pictures to show the drug use and addiction in our world today. 6.  I hope to bring more awareness to the topics of drug use and addiction.  The video is meant to make people feel uncomfortable and uneasy about the drugs in the video causing people to maybe stay away from them in whole.

Staring Activity

This activity involved two students staring into each other's eyes for two minutes long.  After doing this with one of my classmates I have learned how weird it is to have to stare into someone's eyes for two minutes.  The time took a really long time to go by and I did not enjoy this activity.  It was very awkward.  Made me feel almost uncomfortable.  I am sorry for the next group that has to complete this activity.

Grid Art

Before making my project, I was very confused on what to do.   I decided to use Microsoft Excel which I found to be very easy. I used some of my favorite colors: green, orange, yellow, red, and a shade of purple.   For yellow, red, orange, and purple I used a two-block width which was different than the green which I used a five-block width. The project was a 30 by 30 grid with diagonal stripes. After I made my grid, I noticed that there was an issue with my project.   The grid was in the shape of a rectangle.   I went through each column of the grid and changed the width from .16 to .50 which made it look like more of a square.   All in all, I believe that my project ended up being a success and I hope to learn more about the subject.
