The picture that I took was on the broken fountain by the Starbucks, outside of the ICB building.  I feel that since the fountain is broken, it does not get as much appreciation as the other one does.

Don Giovanni Video Game

“Don Giovanni” is an opera about a man who thinks he can get any woman that he wants.  He would go from girl to girl and did not care about the outcome. He always got away with the things that he did.  Don Giovanni never learned from his mistakes. He continued to be a mess and move from woman to woman, but he did not care.  He was happy. One night when Don Giovanni was at a graveyard with his attendant Leporello, a statue started to talk to him. The voice coming out of the statue sounded dark and gloomy.  The statue wanted Don Giovanni to repent the sins that he had made throughout his life. Instead, Don Giovanni invited him to dinner. The stone statue ends up actually showing up for Don Giovanni’s dinner.  At dinner, the stone statue takes Don Giovanni’s hand and leads him into hell. This opera showed me a lot of things that I could easily learn from.  Don Giovanni did not care about the women that he surrounded himself with.  He would mov...

Comments on Aria

Aria was a little odd to watch for me.  At first I was very weirded out by the situation, but after watching the whole video, I was shown the true story to it.  I was saddened by the reality of the situation.  After the man came and took her child I was in awe. The story took a dark turn pretty quickly and it surprised me.  Situations like this happen to people.  The woman fell into depression and took her life.  The "action figure" short film had my feelings all over the place.

Staring Activity

This activity involved two students staring into each other's eyes for two minutes long.  After doing this with one of my classmates I have learned how weird it is to have to stare into someone's eyes for two minutes.  The time took a really long time to go by and I did not enjoy this activity.  It was very awkward.  Made me feel almost uncomfortable.  I am sorry for the next group that has to complete this activity.

Comments on Raul Cuero Interview

Raul Cuero grew up in Columbia where he was bullied for the tone of his skin.  As a child he did not let that get to him and he continued to "live smart." He says that people in this age today do not live this way.  Children stay inside and watch TV when they should be outside playing and learning and interacting with others.  I could apply these concepts to my daily life by not staying in my dorm all day.  I could stay away from the video games and read more.  Raul Cuero lives a very simple life and look where he is now.  He came from nothing to something.  We could all try to be a bit more simple in our lives to better us all.

My name is Clayton Comerford.  I am from Ocean Township, New Jersey.  As a student I am very interested in furthering my knowledge in anything that could possibly help me throughout my life.  Art and Technology is a class that is going to teach me more than others.  I have yet to learn about this subject during my time in school and I am very interested.  My expectations of the class are that I will get something out of it.  I hope to learn about the subject and make some new friends.  I believe this year is going to be filled with a ton of fun and I am very excited for what is yet to come.
